Hera, the ancient Goddess of the Greeks. Protector of women during childbirth and powerful seeker of vengeance.

Brooding on the many injustices she has suffered, she contemplates her next move and the manner of attack.

This print also represents a milestone in my printmaking technique. 10 of the 12 layers are printed with a glazing medium – made from oil, resin and transparent pigments.

The result is an ink which transmits light from within, thereby giving the print a luminescence similar to enamel or gems.

The effect is impossible to reproduce digitally and has to be seen first-hand. To arrange a viewing, please contact me.
